Checkout monitoring for PrestaShop
Vigiwolf visits your store like any customer and places a test purchase, from the product to the payment method. If a step cannot be completed, it alerts you and tells you which one.
What every check covers
- The store opens and shows its products
- A product in stock goes into the cart
- Checkout can be reached as a guest
- There is a carrier for the address
- The payment method loads
What breaks in a PrestaShop store without anyone noticing
The site loads, the back office works and orders simply stop coming in.
You update a module and the buy button stops responding
The product never reaches the cart and the page shows no error.
Add to cart
You change the shipping zones and a region is left without a carrier
The customer fills in their details and cannot go any further.
Choose shipping
The payment module stops loading
A key expires or a version changes, and the payment method no longer shows up.

How it works
Give us the store address
We recognise it as PrestaShop and pick a product that can be bought. There is nothing to install.
Prove it is yours
With a DNS record or a file at the root. That way nobody can point us at someone else's store.
We place the test purchase
On the Free plan, every hour. If it fails, you get the alert with the step and the reason.
Alerts worth reading
An alert that is wrong twice stops being read. So we make sure before we alert you.
- A failure is checked again before we alert you: an incident is two checks in a row
- To know whether the product reached the cart we read what the store answers, not what the theme draws
- If a firewall or a captcha stops us, we tell you it is blocking us, not that the store is broken
- A new store sends no alerts for its first 24 hours: first we learn what it is like
FAQ
- Do I need to install a module?
- No. We come in from outside, with a browser, like any customer. Nothing is changed in the store.
- How far does it go? Does it create orders?
- You choose for each store. «Up to the cart» reaches checkout; «Ready to pay» fills in the details and picks shipping and payment method without creating orders; «Full purchase» places the order, and every check leaves a real one that is up to you to cancel.
- Which product does it buy?
- It picks one on its own: in stock and at a typical price for your catalogue. If you would rather it always be the same one, you give it the address.
- What if my store asks for a tax ID or has custom fields?
- It fills in the required fields it finds, tax ID included. If there is one it cannot fill in, it tells you which.
- How is it different from uptime monitoring?
- An uptime monitor checks that the page loads. Vigiwolf monitors the PrestaShop checkout: that the product reaches the cart, that shipping is offered and that payment can be reached, which is what fails while the site is up.
