Checkout monitoring for WooCommerce
Vigiwolf monitors the WooCommerce checkout from outside: it comes in like any customer, adds a product to the cart and carries on to the payment method. If it gets stuck, it alerts you and tells you where.
What every check covers
- The store opens and shows its products
- A product in stock goes into the cart
- Checkout can be reached as a guest
- There is a shipping method for the address
- The payment method loads
What breaks in a WooCommerce store without anyone noticing
WordPress updates, the site loads just like yesterday and orders simply stop coming in.
A plugin updates and the buy button stops responding
The product never reaches the cart and the page shows no error.
Add to cart
You edit the shipping zones and a postcode is left with no options
The customer fills in their details and cannot go any further.
Choose shipping
The payment plugin stops loading
A key expires or it clashes with another plugin, and the payment method no longer shows up.

How it works
Paste your store address
We see it is WooCommerce and look through your catalogue for a product that can be bought. Nothing is installed in WordPress.
Upload a file or add a record
A file at the root of the site or a DNS record proves the store is yours.
We walk through the purchase
On the Free plan, every hour: product, cart, details, shipping and payment method. If it gets stuck, you get the alert.
From outside, not from your WordPress
A plugin that watches the store goes down with it. Vigiwolf comes in through the front door, like someone who wants to buy.
- It does not depend on WordPress cron: if the site is down or slow, we still see it
- It creates no €0 test products and leaves your catalogue alone: it buys one of yours
- It checks your store's payment method, not a fake one set up for the test
- If a security plugin or a captcha stops us, we tell you it is blocking us, not that the store is broken
- Before alerting you it checks again: no false alarms because the server had a bad moment
FAQ
- Do I need to install a plugin?
- No. We come in from outside, with a browser, like any customer. It does not run inside your WordPress or depend on its cron.
- Will test orders show up in WooCommerce?
- Only if you choose «Full purchase», which places the order on every check and leaves cancelling it to you. With «Up to the cart» and with «Ready to pay», which goes as far as picking shipping and payment method, none is created.
- Which product does it buy?
- It picks one on its own: in stock and at a typical price for your catalogue. On products with variations it picks one that can be bought.
- Is an uptime monitor not enough?
- That one checks that the home page loads, and the home page loads even when nobody can pay. Checkout monitoring checks what comes after: cart, shipping and payment method.
- Does it skip payment with a 100% coupon?
- No. A €0 order never goes through payment, and that is where things break most. With «Ready to pay» we check that the payment method loads with the real price.
